Bachchu was born as Robin[7] in Chittagong on 16 August 1962 to Haji Mohammad Ishuque Chowdhury and Nurjahan Parvin. He grew up in Chittagong.[9] He was a student of Government Muslim High School in Chittagong.
Bachchu made his debut in the music industry by the song “Harano Bikiler Golpo”. He started his music career there with the band Feelings in 1978. From 1980 to 1990, he was a member of Souls as the lead guitarist. In 1986, he released his first solo music album Rakto Golap.[9] He got his breakthrough in his second solo album Moyna in 1988. In 1991, he formed his own band, LRB. LRB released its first album as a double album, which contained hard rock songs including “Ghum Vanga Shohore”, “Madhobi”, “Hoker”, “Sesh Citi Keno Amon Chithi Hoy”, “Happy”, and “Dhakar Sondha”.
LRB released their second album, “Sukh” and third album Tobuo in 1993 and 1994 respectively. It contained hard rock, blues, rock songs like “Sukh”, “Gotokal rate”, “Khoniker Jonno”, “Cholo Bodle Jai”, “Sei Tumi”, “Haste Dekho Gaite Dekho”, and “Rupali guitar”.Bachchu released his third solo album Koshto in 1995.
Bachchu collaborated with Radio Foorti to bring the new talents and fresh voices to spotlight by giving them a platform to perform and shine.
Bachchu was one of the leaders of Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA).
