China reported 575 new cases on Sunday in an outbreak of the coronavirus. Another 35 deaths were reported in mainland China, where the epidemic has been concentrated.
The updates bring mainland China’s totals to 79,826 cases and 2,870 deaths in the 24 hours.
South Korea reported 376 more new cases, bringing its total to 3,526. Japan and Australia confirmed two deaths.
The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 64 countries and territories around the world and 1 international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan).
With this, the total number of deaths reached 2,979 with 37 new cases in the 24 hours. Some 952 new cases of infection were confirmed, bringing the total to 86,992. Of them 42,334 were recovered.
