The Disabled

From The Book ‘ The Global Rose ‘     Author  Farah M Saddha  Copy right @The Global Rose ( Kalerjatra publication LTD )

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.
Helen Keller

All the rivers run, the pendulum of a clock moves every moment, the life of the disabled is also passing like anything. Somehow they are keeping up with their lives of human bondage. Everywhere in the world today there are write ups and discussions about them. But are we really able to solve their problem? Or is this a problem that is only seen in photographs and in the newspaper? Even though they do not have light in their eyes, no hands, no legs they have the strength to drive a heavy car, to write the best novel in the world, to play the best piano in the world. When I walk on the road tears come from my eyes as I see the disabled people crossing the road , God has created us so nicely, given us a nice body, hands, mouth and still we feel sad and consider ourselves as unlucky. Can we not give them a little love of ours? We come to this world with endless potential and leave the world empty; even we leave our body behind us. Only one good work that remains forever is love and love is God. We do not need to pity them but we can respect them as the way they are and help them to nourish their talents, participate in social activities and let them grow as any other human being in the world. What is the reality though? Where do they stand in the true canvas of life? The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was adopted on 13 December 2006. The Convention follows decades of work by the United Nations to change attitudes and approaches to persons with disabilities. The intention of this convention is to adopt a broad categorisation of persons with disabilities and reaffirm that all persons with all types of disabilities must enjoy all human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The Convention has served as the major catalyst in the global movement from viewing persons with disabilities as objects of charity, medical treatment and social protection towards viewing them as full and equal members of society, With human rights. It is also the only UN human rights instrument with an Explicit sustainable development .The Convention was the first Human rights treaty of the third millennium. The disability rights movement is The movement to secure equal opportunities and equal rights for Physically challenged people  All these rights are very important for the disabled people to pursue .

Their career, goals and dreams. In the developing countries it is very tragic that Some of the disabled children are sexually abused and tortured. There is no Institute or organisations to look after them. The nonprofit organisations need to pay special attention to take care of them, the media needs to focus on their Needs and create more aware-ness programs to raise their voice.

I hope we can really do something for them, for that we definitely need a beautiful mind.

Message from the CEO

On Internatonal Women’s Day

The mankind will not exist if there is no woman on this planet .Nature gave this power to woman to carry the source of existence. In today’s world even there are lots of awareness and activities to protect the rights of women there are still many evidence of discrimination and abuse for women . Women are still facing difficulties to live a decent and happy life . The physical or gender differences should not matter , what is most important is that we are all human being and Humanity is above all .
