China reported 428 new cases on Saturday in an outbreak of the coronavirus. Another 47 deaths were reported in mainland China, where the epidemic has been concentrated.
The updates bring mainland China’s totals to 79,252 cases and 2,835 deaths in the 24 hours.
Also on Thursday, South Korea reported 594 more new cases, bringing its total to 2,931 and one more death pushing the toll to 17.
The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 60 countries and territories around the world and 1 international conveyance (the Diamond Princess Cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan).
With this, the total number of deaths reached 2,924 in the 24 hours. Some 787 new cases of infection were confirmed, bringing the total to 85,210. Of them 39,518 were recovered.
