The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Monday condemned airstrikes that killed children in the south of the Libyan capital Tripoli and the southern town of Um Al-Aranib.”UNICEF is deeply saddened with the reports that children have been killed and injured as a result of the attacks that took place in the past few days in different parts of Libya,” UNICEF said in a statement.UNICEF called on the rival parties in Libya to abide by their obligations under international humanitarian and human rights laws to protect children at all times.
