A mild tremor was felt in Dhaka, the capital city, as an earthquake measuring 4.1 in Richter scale hit Gazipur on Tuesday morning (Feb 26).
The tremor was felt at 10:50:02am (Bangladesh time), said meteorologist Abdur Rahman of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), told Banglanews.
According BMD, The quake was centered in near Gazipur, with the epicenter of at a latitude.24.05 degrees north and a longitude 90.60 degrees eas, some 37 kilometer North-East away from Dhaka seismic center.
No casualty was reported till filing the report.
