Dubai Aviation Corporation or flydubai has cancelled a flight from Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport due to a broken flash in the aircraft’s toilet.
The flight, which had been scheduled to start for Dubai at 11:10am on Friday, was cancelled after a daylong wait following the discovery of the problem in the toilet, Wing Commander ABM Sarwar-E-Zaman, a manager at the airport, told bdnews24.com.
It arrived in the airport from Dubai at 10:20am and was preparing to carry 186 passengers back.
Some of the passengers were kept in a hotel and the others managed places on their own , Zaman said.
The plane may fly again on Saturday after the flush is repaired, he said.
The passengers expressed anger at the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the flight after the wait for several hours.
No flydubai official could be reached immediately for comments.
